The Cost of Liberty Revisited
Liberty is exclaimed to all the world,
her birth is proclaimed all over.
Countless men have all but fought for,
her to stand for freedom and equality.
As she stands in the Harbor,
her gown is drenched with crimson.
War cries, battle shells, and the smell
of gunpowder cushion her feet.
Countries following, nations surrendering,
the purity of an individual’s heart:
this is the cost of Liberty.
Men falling, fields of crosses and the
will to go on are embraced in Her arms.
Her gown becomes engulfed moment
by moment in innocent blood.
She steps forward,
never looking behind.
Her vision set,
her focus untouched.
Liberty has a mission,
it will be finished.
Country after country,
life after life:
this is the cost of Liberty.
I wrote this poem over a decade ago. It is a great reminder of the cost of liberty. New York City is not the beacon of hope that we once knew however the message still holds true: The Cost of Liberty is high.
If we do not fight for what is true, that is set on our God-given freedoms, what do we have? If we sit back and play graphic video games, watch countless woke sport games, drink Bud Light … what actions are we doing to fight for our liberty? Being complacent is not operating in freedom. If we are willing to bow to the globalists or bought and paid for corrupt government agencies what have we gained? If we are willing to hand our cities over to violence and decay, what freedom have we retained? The freedom for chaos? If we are willing to surrender an honest food system to those set on killing Americans, what have we gained? If we are willing to hand over our health care systems to those set on killing Americans, what have we gained? If we are willing to shut down small businesses across our land, again what have we gained?
The Truth About the Statue of Liberty that They are Hiding from You
There has never been a more crucial time to get ACTIVE and INVOLVED in your local community. Local impact = national impact. Our fellow citizens are worth it. Our children and cities are worth it. If you do not stand for liberty, who will?
As Fourth Of July week comes and goes, do not just relish in BBQ, games, and fireworks. Take time to find ways to get involved. This country needs saved and is worth fighting for. The cost of liberty is high but the alternative is a bunch of globalist commies that are dead set on destroying our culture and country.
